We recently were fortunate to visit the Devil's River in far west Texas. All around it the area is dry, arid and rocky. But in the middle of this desolate environment is this amazingly beautiful and pristine river that flows into the Amistad Reservoir. Because there's not much public access, it stays clean and uncrowded.
